I'm thrilled that you like my work enough to want something original!
Before you choose to work with me please know that I have a chronic illness that affects my vision. It requires me to take frequent breaks in order to preserve my eyesight. This has caused me to slow down and take more time on each illustration. Despite this I will do everything I can to ensure that I meet our agreed upon deadlines and keep you updated on the progress of your artwork.

✦ Commission process ✦

✦ Fill out my google form below with a description of the illustration you're interested in✦ When your submission is accepted you will be contacted via email with a quote and start date for your project✦ If you accept the quote and start date you will receive a PayPal invoice. In order to secure your spot in my schedule you must pay at least 50% of your invoice. This deposit is non-refundable✦ Once your deposit is paid I will require references. Please feel free to send anything that might help me get to know your character. For example: mood boards, book excerpts, google drives, character appearance, personality, clothing style, poses you like, important features etc.✦ I will get started on your piece on the start date we agreed on. You should expect to receive a rough sketch within 3-5 days of your scheduled start date.⚠️ If you need major changes to be made please let me know during the sketch phase. I will allow up to two major revisions at this point, any significant changes made after rendering has begun will incur additional charges✦ When you are happy with the sketch I will begin rendering. I will update you on progress as I complete lineart, flat colors and the final render. Average turnaround time will vary depending on complexity and time of year but I will usually aim for 3-5 weeks from your start date✦ After your piece is completed and approved you will be prompted to pay any remaining balance✦ Once your balance is paid in full you will receive your image files via email✦ When posting your piece online, please tag me as the artist!

All prices include lineart with fully rendered colors and a simple backgroundThese prices apply to personal & indie projects.Traditional publishers/authors and commercial retailers will need to inquire via e-mail. Please contact thatchickmayalee@gmail.com with your project brief.

A Limited commercial license is INCLUDED for book covers.
⚠️ If you would like to repurpose the cover art for any other merchandise such as apparel, prints, mugs, etc additional licensing would be needed.

Additions

✦ Licensing ✦

All base prices include a promotional license for marketing, self-promotion, and social media. You may use the artwork as a freebie, so long as no purchase is necessary to receive the free item.Promotional licensing does NOT include rights to sell digital or physical copies of the artwork.

If you intend to use your commission to generate profit a commercial use license must be purchased.
